The white band of the Argentine flag represents the snow of the Andes Mountains. Which is a mountain range that goes down South America. The blue bands represent the clear blue skies. The sun in the middle is called the “ the Sun of May”. That is said to be found through the clouds on May 25, 1810 when Argentina was fighting strongly for their independence. The face of the sun is of the Inca sun god Inti. The Inca also controlled an empire in the Andes from around 1200 to 1532.
