Geography
Argentina is a country in South America that is officially named the Republic of Argentina. Covers more than around 40% of the Southern Region. Argentina as a country covers more land extensively than Mexico, the U.S., and Texas as a whole. The country has immense plains, deserts, forests, rivers, etc. Along with the miles of ocean shoreline around Argentina it also owns (has claimed) part of Antarctica. For example, the Andes Mountains are extremely high plateaus that range from the tip of the Americas to the end near the Caribbean. The Iguazu Falls are a series of cataracts on the Iguazu River. One last example is the Pampas which are vast plains that extend across Argentina. As a country, Argentina first declared independence from the British after 300 years! As for the land of Argentina, it is 880 miles across its widest points, and 2,360 miles east to west; and the shape of Argentina looks like an inverted triangle. Argentina is bounded by three countries, Chile to the south and west, Bolivia, and Paraguay to the north, and Brazil, Uruguay, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The wavy coastline of the Atlantic stretches for some 2,900 miles. In Argentina lots of immigration comes from Spain and Italy, this has made Argentina today a European-impacted ancestry. During the Spanish colonization, people from Diaguita from the Andean Northwest and the Guaraní were forced into labor. For comparison, Argentina is almost three-tenths of America, just a little bit off. To conclude Argentina is a pretty big country with a fascinating landscape with many places to visit!
